Success at Cruise 11

The talk at Cruise 11 was better than I expected. After some expert advice I got through my time and actually enjoyed public speaking.

It wasn't until I got to the venue that it sunk in that I was on the same stage as weather legend Frank Singleton and sailing legend Tom Cunliffe.

Congratulations and thanks are due to David Vass and Graham Russell for a well organised day and for choosing five speakers covering a full range of cruising related subjects.

Colin to speak at Cruise Eleven.

A great day out for the cruising yachtsman.

Colin will be speaking at RYA Scotland's Cruise Eleven. So put Sunday 6th March in your diary and the Royal Tay Yacht Club in your satnav (or maybe just look at a map if you're old fashioned like me).

As well as "Will my boat pass survey?" with Colin, you can see the famously entertaining Tom Cunliffe speak on the subject of E-navigation, learn about chart making, longer cruise passage planning and of course we'll talk about the weather!

The day starts with coffee at 0930 and tickets can be booked through RYA Scotland 0131 317 7388 with discounts to RYA and Royal Tay Members.

Colin gets a name check at Celtic Connections!

It doesn't float and it'll never need a survey but we're looking forward to Celtic Connections in Glasgow in January. "Move" is a great project giving some young pipers and drummers a fantastic opportunity to play at the ABC in Glasgow. It'll be a great gig and I hear the main act are not bad too! Colin will be playing the pipes in grand style - book your tickets now.
